‘Tis the Season: DKNY Jeans
Ok, it’s not even the slightest bit cold down south, and I am getting so antsy! I mean, I really want to drag out my boots and sweaters full force and it’s killing me! So, for now I’m daydreaming over the DKNY Jeans holiday lookbook, and I want everything in this bad boy. Let me start with this super-cute trench. Love! It’s only $138 on zappos.com, and the distressed jeans are only $79 (on zappos, macys.com or dknyjeans.com). Not bad, right? A trench is a must everyone should have in their closet (I’ve got three – bashful face) – the cinched belt is always so flattering. And add a nice cape to the essentials, too. I have a cape I wear religiously because it’s just so easy to slip off and on – and it gives off that chic sophisticate aura. This one is $148 (only available in-store at Macy’s) and I love the plaid (so on trend). The blue sweater ($89) peeking out adds a nice pop of color for winter, and the jeans ($89) have a nice skinny leg to balance out the heaviness on top. Add your favorite heels to further elongate the legs!
Know what else I’m digging? Everyone needs a couple of go-to holiday party dresses, and these really stood out for me. They’re by Femme for DKNY Jeans (designed by Hilary Duff!), and they’re both just so classic, flirty and, well, femme. This one with the studded waistband ($79) is so rocker princess. (One again, available on zappos, macys or dknyjeans sites.) I would leave the arms bare just like this to show off the pretty details and the a-line skirt (which, by the way, is flattering on most anyone!). The other dress is actually a tunic ($39) worn with a cropped denim jacket (of which Drew Barrymore wore when she promoted Whip It!) ($79) – they’re both available soon. But, I love the flouncy layers of the tunic paired with the rough edginess of the shorter jacket. It’s all about proportion and this totally works. Now…where’s the party?
