Tracy Reese: Fall 2009 Collection
Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last couple of days, but I really haven’t! I’ve been paying close attention to all who’ve entered my latest $750 J. Loren shoe giveaway, as seen on InStyle.com. I’m beyond ecstatic to be featured on the pages of InStyle – and so if you’re reading, I can’t thank you enough!!! With that being said, if you haven’t entered, you have until Sept. 30 to do so.
Today, as I sat outside for lunch with my good friend L. and we ate our salads, I got so excited. The weather here has been amazing, and I feel fall coming any day now. It’s my fav season; September’s my fav month. It means my birthday, the color brown, tights & riding boots, football season and perfect weather. Oh, and who could forget Fall Fashion Week??
Which brings me to Tracy Reese, one of my all-time designer crushes, and her gorgeous fall collection. While I was invited to the show in February, I did not make it inside because it became full (that’s how popular she is, people). And I absolutely cannot be bitter because later that evening I wound up at Greenhouse with Tracy herself – and who could get mad at her (too sweet and talented!). I’m adoring her collection once again, and these are just a few of the pieces that stood out to me.
1. Inset Chemise (from the fall 09 Tracy Reese Collection) ($385): Makes me believe I can carry my floral, flirty dresses into the season – just pair them with super-cool over-the-knee boots, the “it” item this fall.
2. Frock Coat in Ash Heather (from plenty by Tracy Reese) ($325): What an investment item for the season. Love, love, love the Victorian ruffles – and the flouncy shape. Truly worth the money.
3. Lucy dress in Sangria (from frock! by Tracy Reese) ($200): I am madly in love with red this fall. From shoes to dresses, the color is so striking against fall’s otherwise muted tones. It’s passionate, still forgiving and screams chic. This belted number is hot.
