I Heart Mineral Make-up
For the last couple of weeks, I’ve put aside my typical make-up routine to try Freeze 24-7‘s new mineral make-up. Known in the past for brilliant anti-aging products only, it’s their first foray into the make-up market.
Let me preface this by saying I’m addicted to my Bare Escentuals, simple as that. So it was very hard for me to open up and try another mineral make-up routine (I’ve tried the drugstore brands and they are no match whatsoever!). I’ve been using the Freeze and Glow Basics Kit ($85) that includes everything you need to get started (two foundations, a highlighter and a blush – even two brushes!).
I love mineral make-up in general because it really and truly feels as if you’re not wearing any make-up, but it still looks like you have coverage. It’s really amazing to me. So how did Freeze 24-7 measure up and what’s different about it? I’ve actually really liked it so far. I found the lighter shade of foundation to be too light for me (it really did look as if I was without make-up), but once I tried the warmer shade, I was hooked. Just be careful when you apply the highlighter and blush because you just want a small bit in the cap and then on your brush – it’s very easy to get your face too “rosy.” So what’s different, is the Freeze make-up is formulated to actually reduce lines and wrinkles while it provides coverage. Pretty genius, right?
It even has SPF 18 in it, which means it protects, pampers and provides anti-aging benefits. Choose your shade: Fair/Light, Medium or Medium/Tan. This might just be the only foundation worth comparing to Bare Escentuals – and that’s saying something!
P.S. Pamper Yourself! Freeze 24-7 is officially launching the new mineral make-up products at Henri Bendel’s tomorrow, April 6. Stop by and get a free makeover, mini-facial and skincare consultation. Plus, spend $75 and get a free sampler of goodies!
