The Look for Less: Bow Bodices
Now that spring’s almost here, it’s dress season! Yay! The dress is my fav piece of attire and I must wear them at least three out of five days a week (most weeks, anyway).
The bow bodices seen on the spring runways were just adorable and I couldn’t help but want a similar version for myself. These are from Lanvin, Marchesa and Lela Rose, respectively. Of course, I quickly resigned the thought of purchasing a Lanvin number of my own. (A copywriter just doesn’t shell out the G’s like you think it would, you know?) Instead? I squealed with absolute glee when I discovered this less expensive number by Maggy London. It’s only $138 and produces the same effect, right? Well, maybe not quite as cute as that Lela Rose pantsuit, but I think my wallet could live with that extra savings right now!
The silk charmeuse sash on this dress is incredibly beautiful and the floral lace gives off the perfect metallic sheen. The v-neck dips down and calls attention right where you want it – the bow you’ve been ogling over for months! It’s fashion-forward on a budget and you can still get in a little of that retail therapy you crave – ahhhhh.

Oh Lanvin just kills me – I wish I had one of every single dress they made.
