Gypsy 05…It’s here!
The moment we’ve all been waiting for…it’s here!!! So, I told you about my buyer’s remorse about not purchasing the Gypsy 05 maxi dress and then it shows up in photo after photo everywhere, right? Well, I ordered mine straight from the source a month ago and to my dismay had to wait an entire month for it to arrive. But, finally, today folks, it has ARRIVED! Like an insane person, I tracked it every day (even called Gypsy once a week to check on it-insert bashful face here) and when I found out it would be here today, I stalked the UPS man outside and ran to the door immediately to pick up the box!
Once inside, I tore open the box (how could it fit in such a tiny box-oh right, I paid a lot of money for little fabric, but organic, fine-knit extra-gentle cotton with a touch of, blah, blah…). I rushed in my bedroom and put it on. Yes, it was everything I dreamed of-and for the record, I LOVE the teal hue. As a redhead, this color couldn’t look better (even the green seemed too harsh for my pale skin). So…I have now been trying it on by itself with flip-flops (lazy days around the house), with espadrilles and a tank underneath (shopping trips to the mall), and with a nude cami underneath, white denim jacket and brown boots (to work). And now I am sitting in it on the couch blogging. I know you’re thinking I am crazy, but really it is so freakin’ comfortable. (Not to mention I can’t wear it tomorrow to work because it’s RAINING-argh!) I have already plotted a day next week for its first appearance and will let you know the outcome. Sigh…I think I’m in love with a dress.
