My Secrets to Great Hair…Shhhh!!
Ok, writing is my sanity, so here goes! (I won’t explain, but it involves the words “discipline” and “about to pull my hair out!”) So…speaking of hair! I’ve been way into my hair lately because it’s been extra thick and silky, the only new feature I’ve inherited from this pregnancy I’m proud of…sigh. Besides my new Redken Blonde Glam that gets me going in the morning (the lemony scent is so delish!), I’ve had another couple of tricks up my sleeve.
For starters, BrushLab‘s line of brushes, specifically the Thermal Round brush (complete with lime green rubber handle!) ($12.98). If you have longer, stick-straight hair (that likes to go slightly wavy without brushing), and you insist on blowdrying frequently (see more below), you will not be able to live without this round brush! For years (and I’m talking like maybe 10? I know, embarrassing), I’ve been using the same boar-bristle round brush I bought at my (old) salon. While it did the decent trick, this new brush is waaaay better at curling my layers as they dry, and even cuts down on the drying time with its ceramic thermal barrel. The barrel is 3.5″ – so it’s perfect for giving just the right amount of curl. Tip: Just be careful when you first use it. It takes a few weeks to get used to the large barrel, and you’re likely to whop yourself on the head a few times (at least I did…).
So with this beautiful brush? Well, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to try out the Bespoke Labs T3 Featherweight Dryer. This, gals, is the grandaddy of them all (yes, it’s $200, so it should be). Beauty editors from InStyle to Allure rave about this hair dryer, and I see why. It really is the lightest weight dryer I’ve ever used (it’s 13 ounces!) (not to mention the most stylish in its chic black and white hues), plus it dried my hair, get this, in less than 10 minutes! That’s a huge feat for me. It uses tourmaline/ceramic/ionic technology (all phrases you should look for in a great dryer), and it always makes my hair look like I just eft the salon. (Seriously, you know that not-so-poufy, smooth effect? Love it!)
So combine a great shampoo/conditioner with an excellent round brush and super-duper hair dryer? Hello, the best hair on the block! (Not that I’m bragging or anything…)
P.S. FIll out this short survey and be one of five to win a free PING digital hair iron ($159.99). Good luck!
