Paris Fashion Week: Elie Saab
The fall 2009 collection for Elie Saab was shown in Paris just this last Wednesday, so what do you think? I’m rather fond of the glamour girl look, personally. It’s all about long and lean in monochromatic black or two-toned
black and white – right up my alley, indeed.
Lighter shades of cream, glazed chestnut and powder grey are treated as color blocks. And they’re even balanced against a series of draped dresses in dusty blue and celadon green with interlacing straps that bare the shoulders – tres chic, for sure. Embroidery, micro silk prints and traces of lace define the modern silhouettes.
And accessories? Think geometric necklaces, cuffs and armloads bracelets. Bonjour!
