Supermodel Curls with my Amika Hair Wand

Sorry for my absence yesterday. I haven’t been feeling well lately, and even a blogger deserves a sick day, yes?! So now I’m getting really excited about this whole Amika hair wand thing. Big curls this week…squeal!!

Remember last time I posted on the Glam Goddess barrel (that was much thinner)?

While I liked the look, I sorta felt like I could replicate the wavy look just as easy with an old-fashioned air dry (that I’m way too accustomed to). The huge Supermodel Allure barrel is quite amazing. This is coming from a girl who could never, ever get a curling iron right. I would always have the end of my hair looking fried and after I was finished with it, my hair would actually look worse. So I don’t know if it’s the user or the product that’s gotten better here, but I’m telling you. It’s the product.

This one actually does have a clip, unlike the last one, but it’s super easy to use! Again, know that if I’m saying this, it’s no lie. I actually really did squeal when I would take each strand out and see big, bouncy curls. What delight! It only takes a second to heat up the Amika and when I was finished curling it had only taken me about 20 minutes. (Of course, I

also had to dry my hair. So, this one is reserved for the weekend when I have more time…err, help.)

And after the curls, I fluffed it a little and it stayed for the rest of the day. Not to mention, I felt pretty. 🙂 Silly as it sounds, sometimes it’s nice to just pamper ourselves! Getting lost in the bathroom with my Amika was just what I needed this weekend to help me feel like me and not just mama. 😉
